Music by Robert Kyr -- Voices of Peace

Dr. Robert Kyr has written several choral and instrumental compositions on peace. Below is "Voices of Peace", which is based on the prayer of St Francis.

Voices of Peace

O God, create me as an instrument --
a voice of your peace.

Where there is hate, let me sing love.
Where there is injury, let me sing forgiveness.
Where there is doubt, let me sing faith.
Where there is despair, let me sing hope.
Where there is darkness, let me sing light.
Where there is sadness, let me sing joy.

O One, Eternal-living Love,
Create me as a voice of peace.
